Frequently Asked Questions
No. You must complete your acceptance using UNSW Accept Online.
This will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, commencement term, your program of study, and/or whether you are an international or a domestic student. Details of when your offer will expire are provided when you login to Accept Online.
Please note that the University has a quota system, to ensure each faculty's enrolment is maintained at a level which maximises the quality of the teaching and learning experience at UNSW. The quota may be reached before the deadline - especially in high demand areas such as Commerce and faculties with limited places such as Medicine. We advise you to accept your offer as early as possible and not to wait until the deadline.
Accept Online is a two-part process. Part I is where you indicate your intention to take up your place in your offered program of study. If you are an international student, you will also need to pay a deposit to secure your place.
Part II is where you prepare for enrolment at UNSW. You will need to confirm your personal contact details, complete statistical information for Government and University reporting, apply for HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP (if applicable), agree to UNSW Terms and Conditions.
Accept Online provides you with the option to pay either the full amount or to make multiple partial payments. However, if you choose to make partial payments you will not be able to finalise your acceptance until the full deposit amount has been received by UNSW.
If you are currently enrolled in a program of study at UNSW and you are NOT expecting to graduate before you commence your new program, you may be asked to discontinue from your current program during Accept Online Part II. Please note that discontinuing will not prevent you from receiving your results.
If you are a domestic student and you are eligible to apply for HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP you will be able to access the HELP form as part of Accept Online Part II. You will receive confirmation at the end of Part II that you have submitted your request and you will be able to save a copy for your records.
When you complete Part II you will be ready to enrol in your courses. If enrolment has already opened, you will be taken directly UNSW Enrol Online to select your courses. If enrolment has not opened, you will be provided with your enrolment opening date at the end of Part II of Accept Online.
Enrolment for new coursework students normally opens in early October for the following year. Research candidates can access enrolment from early January.
After you completed Part I and Part II of Accept Online, you will be able to enrol in your courses. Once enrolled, you can collect your student ID card, access UNSW IT services, and attend Orientation Week. Please visit Getting Started for details.
